Sr. Editor Of Black-Crime Vertical: "People Need A Safe Place To Say Nigger"

Senior Editor Brad Bently of internationally recognized right-wing blog Brietbart.com explained today that the site's specific "Vertical" (a specially curated content section) devoted to crimes committed by African Americans was a necessary feature in today's Rightwing media. Although speaking off the record, he said this was widely understood and his news site had simply gone further than other publications--and gotten there first.

"The American white--especially if lower income or lower education has a significant need to use the word 'nigger,'" Bentley said. "This is one of the key pieces of free-speech that has been taken away not just by the public--but by the government itself. When a black person--sorry, a nigger--commits a crime--and we report on it--it provides a safe-space for our readers to use the forbidden word."

"If the nigger in question is a criminal, it's hard for liberals and free-speech police to come down on commentators in that context."

The response, he said, has been fantastic. "Clicks are up. Comments are up. Returning readers are way up. Our analysis says that most people only barely scan the article--they go straight to the comments section and start posting about niggers. You, look, you couldn't ask for a better business model. The people we serve have been abused--silenced--censored--and we're giving them back their freedoms!"

Asked if the Black-Crime Vertical was a response to the Black Lives Matter movement, Bently said of course it was.

"When a policeman guns down a black kid with a toy gun less than five seconds from getting out of their cruiser, there's a danger that Americans might start sympathizing with these people. Oh, sure--lots of cases have come out where the victim was, shall we say," he winked, "no angel--but the bigger danger is that if our readers started to see things from the perspective of the majority of law-abiding black people who feel threatened by law enforcement, they'd, well, they wouldn't be our readers. The sure wouldn't be our voters."

"The black-crime vertical gives our readers a chance to justify those feelings. It lets them ignore cases of a powerful government extra-judicially executing members of one of our statistically weakest communities. Most Americans understand the dynamics here--but our reader's white-guilt level is staggering and it's a problem. We're the cure. You read lurid of stories of black crime and you feel justified. Righteous--well, self righteous--which is even better for our purposes."

Asked if advertisers like Amazon had problems with the site promoting statistically insignificant cases of black crime to stoke its reader's racism, Bently shook his head. "Oh, sure--there have been a lot of bail-outs. This is America--toxic racism is considered a journalistic sin going way back." He smiled. "But Amazon will never abandon us. They understand--in the new world you've got to sell. If racism sells running shoes, Amazon will be there. Uber too--but, well, you just have to read the headlines to know about them!"
