First came the denials--then the threats. We don't submit to pressure but the threats were interesting. The original subject of the piece indicated that they had not produced the memo, even though it is clearly on their letterhead. However, as we examined it, we came to another conclusion: It may have come from [ REDACTED's ] arch college-poll rival Quinnipiac! We're looking into this. More as it develops.
Nate Silver gives liberals "one week" before panicking and sure enough, a poll from the little-known [ REDACTED ] University comes out with Clinton re-gaining the momentum: +5 in Florida. Of course it over-samples Democrats and women--but not by as much as some of the really egregious ones. What does the media do?
They pounce on it, of course.
And presto-change-o, the narrative has shifted--Clinton is back. She might be sick and dying--but her blue-wall firewall is holding up.
Of course today, Everybody Leaks.
So of course we've gotten our hands on an internal directive from an unknown source (but, hey, we think we know) to [ REDACTED ] University telling them to get their act in gear.
